  • Dr.Basavaraj & his team were very kind and responsive when I got my Mother admitted for Knee replacement surgery. She was suffering from knee pain past 5 years, she was afraid even to go out alone as she often lost balance and fall. She used to limp badly because of the pain. She underwent many non-invasive treatments, but none of it helped her. Finally, when we consulted Dr.Basavaraj, he suggested her to go for knee replacement surgery. We got her admitted in BGS Global Hospital for the surgery though it was on a Sunday they did all necessary tests on the same day. Surgery took place on the 3rd day. Throughout the entire stay in the hospital she was treated with utmost care, despite, after the surgery once while going to the restroom, using the walker she lost balance and she fall. Dr.Basavaraj was on vacation when this happened and still he rushed to the hospital to examine her. Thankfully nothing had happened to her because of the fall. On the 2nd day after surgery she was able to walk using a walker and Dr.Basavaraj & his team visited her frequently like 3 – 5 times a day to check her condition and progress. By 6th day she was able to climb stairs. Now she is able to walk like she use to walk 10 years ago. During our last visit to Dr.Basavarja, He told her she might have little pain and she replied “No Doctor. There is no pain at all” :). This was progress seen in her in just 2 months after the surgery. It is not just about how successful surgery was. There was more to that : – Before and after the surgery, every small detail was explained to us. Like, what we can expect out of the surgery pros and cons both. The risks involved. – Dr.Basavaraj insisted us call him any time, if there was any problem or had any doubts. – For visits after surgery, I was not able take my mother to hospital on weekdays. They were flexible to give an appointment during weekends. – Dr.Basavaraj was in constant touch with our Physiotherapist who came home to train my mother; he enquired her about the progress and guided her.
